All lessons are during lunch periods. Lessons are a requirement of the Band/Srrings Programs.  Please encourage your child to attend these lessons

Instrumental (Band/Strings) Student Requirements

INSTRUMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
You must be in one of these
CONCERT BAND                                     STRING ENSEMBLE

In order to participate in these
JAZZ LAB BAND                   ALL CATHOLIC ORGANIZATIONS

If you play in any performance group, you are required to:
1.     Take a Lesson:
 You must take a lesson once a week. This may occur at your lunch period.
You will be graded on your progress.
2.     Perform: 
You must perform with your ensemble even if you are in the organization being honored.  This includes Senior participation in Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation. Juniors, Ring Mass
You get to do it all
WE DO NOT PICK AND CHOOSE WHICH PERFORMANCES WE WILL ATTEND
3.     Attendance :
You must attend your scheduled morning rehearsals.  A grade will be published reflecting your attendance.
Dates for “out of school performances” are published in the Music Blog at the beginning of the School Year. Please mark your calendars and let your bosses know in advance.
4.    Class:
 If you are in a rostered class, you will have theory assignments to further your musical reading skills
If you are in a performance group only, you will be “rostered” into a music class that will keep track of your lesson progress and attendance
5.    Evening Performances:   Your participation is required. As these dates become available they will be announced in a timely order and published on the Music Blog

     6.  All Catholic Organizations:  School pays these fees for you. If you do not participate in all of the All Catholic Performances for your Organization, the All Catholic Fee will be added to your Activities Fee.

We have several “inschool” performances throughout the year. Your participation is required.
